Rumors are swirling that Miguel Herrera could have a new horizon in his coaching career as the possibility to reunite with various players “El Piojo” coached once.

Miguel Herrera, a notable coach currently in the Liga MX has stated various times that he would rather coach in the European continent instead of the Major League Soccer if he weren’t to coach in Liga MX. That could possibly happen as Real Betis in the Spanish league La Liga is currently without a coach and Herrera is one of the candidates on the bubble. Although Herrera is not one of the first options for the Spaniard team at the moment it is still pleasing to hear and read that a Mexican coach is being talked about to coach in Spain. It’s very rare for any coaches from Mexico to be leading a club team in La Liga as a Mexican coach.

Javier Aguirre who once coached Pachuca and the national team of Mexico twice is currently with Leganes is the only Mexican coach at the moment in Spain where Herrera could possibly be the second if all comes in a full circle with Real Betis wanting Herrera in their corner.

Betis who is currently in the 13th place position in La Liga with 37 points has various players that Herrera once coached in Club America, the sparky winger Diego Lainez and defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez and most importantly the outstanding veteran midfielder player of the national team of Mexico Andres Guardado, who all “El Piojo” has great relationships could be one of the key factors on possibly being appointed as the new coach of Betis.

Herrera carries a lot of experience in the Liga MX, by lifting various Liga MX trophies with America and already coached the national team of Mexico who turned the team as a relevant as possible in the World Cup 2014 after a terrible qualifying tournament, and the only item off the “bucket list” is to take his abilities across the “pond” and try his efforts to make Betis a competitive team as possible.

Hopefully, it does come true and Herrera will get his opportunity of coaching in La Liga to prove his worth as a coach with a lot of tactical structures.

Piojo we are behind you!
