Rafael Carioca shames the Liga MX:

Liga MX side Tigres won their match against Toronto FC 3-2, ending on a 4-4 aggregate.  Unfortunately for Liga MX fans, Toronto FC move on due to away goals.  The thing is that Toronto FC didn’t make one of their away goals; it was made by a Tigre man named Rafael Carioca.

I won’t speculate if it was done on purpose, or if it could’ve been prevented.  Things are set in stone and fruitless ventures aren’t what we’re about.  Rafael is certainly kicking himself this morning full of guilt.  Had it not been for his own goal, Tigres would see themselves still in the Champions League.

Guilt is brought on by an individuals acknowledgement of error and their need for punishment.  Here at Viva Liga MX, we aren’t accustomed to speaking on problems without solutions.  We have a solution to both punish and liberate Rafael Carioca: The Tigres organization must tar and feather Rafael while parading him in front of the fans.

Throwing tomatoes at the guilty is frowned upon, nor is it encouraged, but will not yield any fines to the throwers.  The Liga MX as a whole must be appeased and this public shaming is the only way to do it.

The truly sad part of everything is the fact that Tigres played tough, smart, and with their hearts.  They deserved to go through to the next stage.  Like nature and life, football can be an unfair demon:

Liga MX is almost out of the Champions League:

With Tigres failing to move on to the next round, there remains only Liga MX sides Club America and the Chivas in the CONCACAF Champions League.  Tijuana lost too, but that was pretty much a given.  America enjoy a 4-0 aggregate lead over Tauro FC and if they happen to lose 5-0, then Liga MX should shut down as a whole.  The Chivas take on the Seattle Sounders, and they look to overcome a 1-0 deficit.  In case they need any motivation to play aggressively and get the Sounders out of the competion, here is a video of Clint rapping:

Even as a USMNT fan, I can’t stand this guy.
