We’re biased but we know talent:

It’s a Super Taco Tuesday.  Argentina vs Spain; USA vs Panama.  That’s two important games happen today.  I will not speak on both in this article because it wouldn’t be right.

I will say it now: If Lionel Messi wants to sit on his throne as the secular Jesus Christ, then he must win the World Cup this time.  Yet, if he does it at the age of 34, wouldn’t it be more of a miracle?  What if he waits until then?  Nobody wants to speak of this.   At Viva Liga MX, we think above ourselves.  We think outside own logic.  We seek to ponder on that which we cannot fathom.

This is why I am not putting so much pressure on Lionel Messi in this World Cup Tournament.  Lionel took a subpar Argentina to the final of the World Cup in 2014.  Trust me when I say that I believed then, but it wasn’t so.  Do I believe in Russia 2018?  Absolutely.  I understand that I am a man and my knowledge is limited.  For all I know, Messi could be a false prophet.  At the same time, I know I waste my time by speculating that which I do not know.

Argentina: 12 Apostles

Messi with likely not play tonight.  That leaves that team, the coach, and ourselves–the 12 apostles.  Whoever is substituting Messi is the sacrificial lamb, you do not count.  Their game against Spain will define them as either Argentina or Judas.  They are Judas is they play lackluster and without drive.  Is it right to leave it all onto the MESSIah?  Jorge Sampaoli is the most qualified coach to lead Argentina.  Just look at what he did with Chile and Sevilla.  The man knows what he is doing and there is no excuse.  Even as a man, Jesus Christ had faults–though only to show us the folly of man.  Can Sampaoli rectify those faults in Argentina so they can Messi achieve the promised land?  Though I am not from Argentina, I want to taste manna by Messi lifting the World Cup.

Argentina must beat Spain, if not, we continue eating our nails until July 2018.
