Taco Tuesday: Rest In Flour Tortillas

After having to reschedule Taco Tuesday last week, we resurrect.  Yes, there are no Liga MX games tonight, but today is a day to pay respects to your fallen teams—the losers.  The Liga MX Clasura is ending soon and only two teams remain because that’s the point of a final.  Santos Laguna and Toluca are set to meet for the last two games of the season.  Fans of both teams must pay respects to the dead because they get to live.  Acknowledge this Taco Tuesday—not for your teams making it into the finals but for the formidable adversaries that you conquered.

Many of nachos and beers were consumed through the tournament.  Living rooms filled littered with proclamations of PUTO  at every goal kick.  It was all a good time—here in the States.  I’ve heard that Mexican fans urinate into empty bottles in the stadium and hurl them towards the field.  Who wants a drunk sitting behind them trying to coordinate his throw of a piss bottle?  I’ll pass.  Some things are better experienced through the TV screen.  Don’t go chasing waterfalls.  Please stick to the river and the lakes that you’re used to.

Two Dead Bodies, One Murderer

Santos Laguna are having an exciting moment.  Not only did they achieve making it to the final, but they did it by beating two popular fan-favorites.  It’s true that The Tigres went out on a technicality.  This is a fact.  This is not the case for CF America.  We have two dead bodies—one was slowly poisoned while the other was tortured and killed.

There was actually a glimmer of hope in the second leg for America to match Santos when they went 2-0.  But like the killers they are, Santos made a crucial goal that made it 2-1 and 3-5 globally.  The mountain got higher and America didn’t have the stamina to climb it.  The game ended 2-2 and CF America crashed out.  Let’s comfort eat for all of CF America.  Go Santos.
