Andrew Carelton – ATL UTD 2 – Winger  – 18 (USA)

Andrew Carleton has been on the radar of USMNT fans for a bit now. The Atlanta United prospect is stuck behind a few studs in the big club, though. He’s in a hard spot where he really has nothing left to prove at the USL level, but because of the talent in front of him, it seems like he is left to rot on the bench. Non-Atlanta fans are dying to see him move on from the club.

The MVP of the MLS Homegrown game this year, Carleton’s talent and potential is evident.

Here’s his first professional goal with Atlanta United:

If Liga MX can get a hold of him, they’d immediately gain a size-able US fan base, in addition to a really good young winger.

Dream Liga MX Fit: Club Tijuana. For a club that already has a fairly substantial American fan-base, Andrew Carleton would be a dream. I’m not sure how he’d fit in with the current tactical approach, but his skill and creativity could pair nicely with players like Miller Bolanos and Erick Castillo if the system were to adjust.
