Prediction

If this particular Liguilla has taught me anything, it is that America will have sudden flashes of brilliance, accompanied by long stretches of nothingness. I’m not sure how long that can work, but for the time being, all that matters is advancing to the next round. They don’t get points for style.

With Cruz Azul waiting on the other side of this match, I could honestly see either team facing off with Los Cementeros in the Final. However, as with the Liguilla tie-breaker when the aggregate score and away goals are tied, the higher seed advances.
America has the talent and skill to dominate Liga MX at times. But whether it is a function of management or players simply not playing with passion or togetherness, something is getting in the way. Pumas hopes it is them this time, but I just think the talent will win out in the end.

Leg 1 Result: Pumas UNAM 1 – Club America 1 (My Prediction: 2-2)

Leg 2 Prediction: Club America 1 – Pumas UNAM 1
