Top 3 matches to look out for as Liga MX kicks off.

The break is over, and fans are eager to watch some of their favorite teams reach the maximum glory of the Liga MX. The Liga MX returns in a matter of days, and we kick-off with some entertaining matches that are worth watching.

Queretaro visits Santos

Check out the preview for each of these exciting matches that will take place in the first week of the tournament.

Xolos host Santos Laguna to start the season off.

Xolos, now under new coaching staff, will be seeking to stun last tournament’s leading team in Santos Laguna. Gustavo Quinteros is the man in charge at Xolos to yet again seek out that beloved second star above their crest. Santos has the responsibility to start the tournament with a win if they wish to repeat their form they kept throughout the previous tournament. The Argentinian Julio Furch is the man responsible for leading their explosive attack.

Cruz Azul host Atlas in an exciting match, “Battle for Honor.”

Los Cementeros, as every tournament are a team that is always fighting for a top spot in the table being one of the big 4. Despite not qualifying to the Liguilla in the Apertura, they will seek out a place in the top eight to claim the “Novena” Championship. With new signings such as Bryan Angulo and Sebastian Jurado, they could be one of the more underrated sides coming into the season. Atlas has been fighting relegation for quite some time now, failing to perform well could well see them closer to relegation. Atlas will need to push the issue early and often because at this point of the relegation battle every 3 points are important.

Pumas facing Pachuca for an entertaining match

The Auriazules, are looking to start fresh after a disappointing end to their last campaign. With hopes to clinch a playoff spot, Michel is the man in charge of leading his men to victory each game. Pachuca, on the other side of the coin, is always a dangerous team to face any team. They are a team that both attack and defend well when need be. They are a team that can capitalize and neutralize the opposing team. This match could become entertaining to watch.

This, in fact, will be an exciting match up to kick-off the Liga MX. Both teams will be seeking a winning start in this Corner Clausura 2020. Among other games, sides throughout the nation will be clashing for the beloved three points.
