Tigres host Pumas for week eight of the Liga MX Clausura 2020 in what seems to be a promising match considering both teams dropped points last week.

This matchup will prove to be a difficult match for the Auriazules given they haven’t picked up a win in the Estadio Universitario since 2014. That’s more than five years of consecutive dominance by Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti’s men. Pumas has been on a good form, having lost a game in seven matches will look to hand a massive upset to the Tigres fanbase. Pumas away, this tournament has picked up a single win and two drawn games. Tigres, at home, has won twice and drawn only once while only conceding a single goal.

This can prove difficult for Michel and his men, but it won’t be an impossible task to achieve. Both Carlos Gonzalez and Fabio Alvarez are both players to watch in this exciting game as it unfolds throughout the 90 minutes.

On the home side, André-Pierre Gignac is always lethal as he leads Tigre’s attacks. Pumas will be looking to deliver a massive upset against Tigres this Saturday when they face each other at the Volcán. That being said, this is the probable lineup that Michel will bring out to the field, and will be the same eleven players that went against Monarcas Morelia.

Goalkeeper: Alfredo Saldivar

Defenders: Alan Mozo, Luis Quintana, Johan Vazquez, and Alejandro Mayorga.

Midfielders: Andres Iniestra, Marco Garcia, Pablo Barrera, Fabio Alvarez, and Sebastian Saucedo

Forward: Carlos Gonzalez

Pumas’ most recent signing Juan Dinenno will most likely see lots of minutes this game if Pumas find themselves behind on the scoreboard as he’s proven to be successful on the counter and proficient in building up plays for his teammates.

This match will prove to one of the most exciting games this weekend as both teams will be seeking to go back to their winning ways and move up a few places in the table. Tigres will be looking to get themselves in playoff positions, and winning this match will turn out to be essential to move up a few spots. Pumas’ mission is to regain the top seed of the Liga MX ahead of the Clasico Capitalino that will take place in the ninth week of the Liga MX.
