The FMF finally moves forward and decides to join the majority of the leagues across the world and postpone Clausura 2020 for a couple of weeks until the ongoing current situation of the Corona Virus handled correctly.

About a day ago our team here at the Viva Liga MX wondered why or why not the Liga MX continued the Jornada 10 of the Clausura 2020 and also why It had not stopped since a majority of leagues across the globe postponed their season due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus spreading rapidly to players and coaches across the globe.

During the match between Toluca vs Atlas an official statement was released from the FMF, Federacion Mexicana de Futbol, making It clear and final that no games will undergo after Sundays final two games of the Clausura 2020. Both games that still will take place will be Santos Laguna vs Necaxa and the most anticipated game of the Jornada 10, America vs Cruz Azul after the conclusion of that game the Liga MX has told everyone that no activities will take place until April 3, 2020.

Although the timeline of the FMF was a bit on a rollercoaster throughout the start of the week, many experts wondered why the Liga MX allowed games to take place with fans inside of the stadiums at the start of the Jornada 10, the Monarcas Morelia vs Queretaro had around 17, 432 fans and the Tijuana vs Pachuca had close to 22, 289 fans attending the game, estimating a total of nearly 40,000 fans attending on Friday nights games.

Suddenly, the FMF than made a decision to stop allowing fans into the stadium for the remainder of the Jornada 10 and that just did not fit right with many because many know that the soul and heart of any sports games are the fans. Also, the FMF wanted to push some games in the upcoming week with games taking place on Tuesday-Thursday but that idea did not last long either.

Up until now, the correct decision was made and although many might not agree, it is best to stop spreading the virus as quickly as possible because this is affecting not only the sports world but the lives of many across the globe and especially businesses.

The COV-19 Virus is a deepening health crisis around the world, please be aware and cautious moving forward.
