Liga MX like almost every other league worldwide is currently stopped due to the threat of the Corona Virus. This hasn’t stopped teams from looking ahead and start preparing themselves for the summer. Transfer rumors are starting to circulate and Club America are already thinking of the Apertura 2020.

In an interview for TUDN, Miguel Herrera assured that they must rebuild the squad for the next semester in which, like every tournament, they will have to seek the championship. For the next tournament, the number of foreigners will have to be cut due to the change of the rules and Herrera has told Santiago Baños the club needs to find more Mexican Talent.

Herrera recently spoke with Linea de Cuarto on TUDN and stated his concerns moving forward in the Liga MX, “We have the circumstance that the tournament that comes in will lower foreigners. Today we have 12, but unfortunately, we have never had twelve available, the tournament that comes in we already have to have 11 with the possibility of using nine in each roster”, said Herrera.

The first name on the list is former Pachuca player Erick Gutierrez who is not living his best moments for PSV. Gutierrez is still only 24 years old and seems to have his best years ahead of him. Unfortunately for “Guti” his minutes are not enough and a change of scene seems to be the best move for him at this time. With PSV, Erick Gutiérrez records five goals and five assists in 48 games played.

Would a move to Las Aguilas be the right one? Or should Guti try his luck again with another European club?
