Rayados de Monterrey wave goodbye to Leonel Vangioni
Club Rayados de Monterrey is restructuring their roster little by little for the upcoming tournament as the wave goodbye to another player, Leonel Vangioni.
Leonel Vangioni will be another player that Rayados de Monterrey will not have on their roster at the start of the Apertura 2020 after spending three years with La Pandilla, Vangioni along with Marcelo Barovero and Jose Basanta are the three players so far that will not return to Antonio Mohamed team during the summer.
Vangioni was an important fundamental player with Rayados de Monterrey winning a grand total of three important championships, the most recent was in the Apertura 2019 as well the CONCACAF Champions League in 2019 and lastly the Copa MX in 2017. The savvy midfielder recently went on his social media and made his official statement on leaving La Pandilla,
“A stage in my career is ending and I wanted to thank the Club Rayados for these three years that we spent together and all their love for the respect and affection that they always gave me !! Simply thanks!!!”
Without a doubt, Vangioni will be a well-respected player and will have a place in the heart of Rayados fans.
Regarding the Liga MX just a couple days ago concluded the Clausura 2020 without no champion due to the increasing number of COVID-19 within the country and as well a few players across the league which has led many club teams to start looking ahead in the next tournament. The Apertura 2020 will begin towards the month of July as of now if everything goes as plan and certainly Rayados de Monterrey will like to turn the page after having a terrible Clausura 2020.
At the conclusion of the Clausura 2020, Monterrey was sitting in the last place with no wins, five losses and five draws for a total of five points that caused a lot of hot topics on how Rayados went from being a competitive team to going to the last place. With the restructure the team is slowly doing hopefully they become relevant in the Apertura 2020.
