The 36-year-old Argentinian player just recently aired the news that he no longer will continue with Club Pachuca which has left many to wonder if Sambueza could return to Club America.

Rubens Sambueza went on his personal Instagram and notified the fans that he has departed ways with Club Pachuca after joining the team last summer from Leon where he participated in 28 games being a starter in 23 of them, and scoring only one goal and six assist with the team between the Liga MX and the Copa MX. Sambueza is another player that will not be part of the Pachuca roster come the Apertura 2020, along with their start forward Francisco Jara who will join the MLS club team, FC Dallas.

Sambueza made the following statement via on his personal Instagram account:

“I will always be grateful to Pachuca for giving me the opportunity to play for such a great institution. Thanks to the club”s employees who made me feel comfortable and kept an eye on me since I arrived. Thanks to my teammates and coaching staff for giving me the confidence to play and enjoy my football.”

The veteran midfielder who is on a loan from Leon and still has 6 months left on his contract will now be searched to be bought out by Club America for the Apertura 2020 tournament if possible where it has been rumored that Sambueza is willing to reduce his salary to be part of Miguel Herrera roster.

The naturalized Mexican midfielder is no stranger to Club America as Sambueza was part of the club team from 2012-2016, winning two Liga MX championships along winning the CONCACAF Champions League twice. Surely, Sambueza will like to relieve another glorious mark with Las Aguilas if possible. Although the rumor has grown greatly in recent weeks, Miguel Herrera and Club America have yet made an official statement if they will like the return of the veteran midfielder on their team, which could make things hard for Sambueza.

Without a doubt, whatever team Sambueza lands for the Apertura 2020, will easily have a standout player on the field with the experience he carries.
