The standout veteran coach of the Liga MX will no longer be directing Queretaro for the Apertura 2020 as Vucetich made recent headlines leaving his position open.
The Apertura 2020 has yet started and we have witnessed already that two coaches will not with their club teams, as Pablo Guede and now Victor Manuel Vucetich will be in search of new teams to coach from the sidelines for the upcoming tournament. Although there is no ideal date of the start of the Apertura 2020, one thing is certain that Los Gallos Blancos de Queretaro will need a new coach for the upcoming tournament, just as Monarcas Morelia or should we say Mazatlan FC.
The departure of Vucetich is due to various reason as the club team did not prepare to welcome new players on the roster to strengthen the team as well, due to the COVID-19 the organization of Los Gallos Blancos de Queretaro planned to reduce the salaries of the players and coaches, in which Vucetich was not completely on board with all the decisions taken place. Regardless, both the club and Vucetich stated that they ended in good agreements. They posted this official statement from Twitter.
“Through this communication, we inform you that by mutual agreement, the employment relationship between, Víctor Manuel Vucetich and Club Querétaro, has come to an end on the best terms”
This movement finalizes the second term Vucetich coaching Queretaro as he was with first from 2015-2017, winning a Copa MX for Los Gallos also taking the team under Ronaldinho skills on the filed to Liga MX Championship in the Clausura 2015 but were short to lift the title. Vucetich returns to the club team in 2019 where his tenured just ended once again for the second time.
No official statement has been made on where Vucetich could continue coaching in the Liga MX, but “King Midas”, declared that he does not plan to retire from coaching and will view his options for the future.
