Tecatito scores twice in one week
The defensive winger of FC Porto, Jesus ‘Tecatito’ Corona has displayed outstanding skills on the field showing that the pandemic did not affect him.
In 26 matches in the Primeira Liga, Porto sits with 63 points after winning two games back to back in less than a week after going almost three months without any action since the league stopped due to the COVID-19 back in March. One of the main reasons why Porto right now gained six points is due to Jesus Manuel Corona, also known as ‘Tecatito’, who continues to make outstanding plays if it is either with the club team or with the national team of Mexico.
Last week, June 3rd was Porto first game after the three-month hiatus where Tecatito’s first goal came in the 2-1 defeat against FC Famaliaco, at the 78th minute that let many fans and experts in a frenzy due to finishing touch the Mexican international made to score the only goal for Porto.
Usually, Tecatito’s goal not only has been talked about, but being moved and used naturally to play in the right-back defensive side, but mostly as a wing player, a position that many of us have not seen Corona play throughout his career. But honestly, Corona plays the position very well!
The 27 years old Mexican international, yet once again just yesterday scored his second goal in less than a week making it three goals so far in the season with Porto, which has many talking about if Corona is living the best times in his career. But this goal, this one is different and maybe the goal of the month. Porto was facing Maritimo, where Corona volleyed the ball to the back of the net at the 6th minute of the game, which gave Porto the 1-0 win keeping the team in the first place position in the league standings. This goal for sure will have you at the edge of your seat!
All is going perfectly fine for Corona at the moment and hopefully, his abilities continue to spark in the Portuguese league and maybe soon could move to a big club team In the European continent, because we all would like for the Mexican European players to make a difference in their club teams and make that final step to a top 5 European side.
