Bruno Valdez making history with Club America

The defensive player of Club America has been a stand out player not only in the backline but as well being a dual player helping on the offensive side for Las Aguilas.

Bruno Valdez serves as an amazing player for Club America and its for various reason on the field. Not only as a strong defender in the backline but also as a captain of the team, and as such scoring clutch goals. His goal-scoring prowess has led Valdez closer to breaking a club record for the team.

After the Jornada 2 of the Guard1anes 2020 tournament, Club America devoured Xolos at home in a final score of 4-0 where Valdez participated in one goal in the 57th minute of the second half.

Currently, Valdez is tied up with Mario Trejo in scoring goals (25) and has passed both Manuel Cañibe and Rafael Garza, who all had 24 goals under their name. Valdez is now one goal away from tieing legendary defender of America, Alfredo Tena who had a total of 26 goals registered under his name and Bruno Valdez has a legitimate chance to pass it this tournament, as Guard1anes 2020 just got started.

Bruno Valdez who joined America in 2016 has played a total of 176 games across the board with 6 assist as well in the Liga MX and having three years left under his contract where he could easily place his name in the history books of Las Aguilas as not only one of the most solid defenders they have had,  but one of the most gifted defensive goal scorers the likes that would make Brazilian striker Roberto Firminho jealous.

America currently has 6 points in league standings after the first two weeks of the Guard1anes 2020 tournament and they are already, as always favored to lift the championship trophy as the team looks stronger compared to the Clausura 2020 where they were plagued with injuries. Miguel Herrera team will now play Necaxa on Friday night, August 7th, 2020 where they could grab another win if they continue the momentum.
