It did not take long for Chivas’ front office to quickly bring aboard a new face to adjust and clean up the mess the team is currently facing. Could this be the coach Chivas needs or will the fiasco once again occur?

With no goals and with one single point in the Guard1anes 2020 tournament, Chivas took it on their own hands to quickly let go of Luis Fernando Tena, which honestly did not look promising in the last few months with all the lethal weapons on the rosters. Or should we say the “Chivas Galacticos”! So it did not come to a full surprise that Chivas had a backup plan to bring Victor Manuel Vucetich “Rey Midas”, to the team to continue throughout the remainder of the tournament and for the next two years under the contract.

Victor Manuel Vucetich is no stranger in the Liga MX and many know him due a long period of coaching various club teams,( Potros Neza, León, Tecos, Tigres, Cruz Azul, La Piedad, Puebla, Pachuca, Veracruz, Chiapas, Rayados and recently Gallos de Querétaro) and most importantly having a quick stint period with the national team of Mexico a couple years back. Along with the trajectory of club teams Vucetich has coached, we can include the trophies “Rey Midas” has won, 2 Ascensos, 5 Ligas MX, 3 Copa MX, 1 Interliga and 3 CONCACAF Champions League.

The resume speaks for itself and that is why Chivas fans were yelling and calling for Vucetich as he is currently with no team to coach at the moment.

In the meantime, while Vucetich is officially presented to the team and the press, Chivas will play on Wednesday the 12th of August versus FC Juarez for the Jornada 4 of the Guard1anes 2020 tournament with the interim Michel Leaño coaching the team. Vucetich will direct and coach the team for the Jornada 5 when Chivas plays Atletico San Luis on August 15, 2020.

Best of luck to Vucetich because with the players the team carries he should not have any problems with lifting the team to its highest level.
