Tigres for the Jornada 5 of the Guard1anes 2020 tournament will debut a new young goalkeeper due to injuries and COVID-19 affecting the roster of Ricardo Ferretti.
The worldwide pandemic continues to affect various players across the Liga MX where many coaches in the league have to make quick adjustments to their roster days prior to a matchup that can be uneasy but at the same time, it is a given opportunity for many young players in the Guard1anes 2020 tournament. Currently, Tigres is a few hours away from playing their 5th game of the tournament where they will visit, Estadio Nemesio Diez, home of Toluca to hopefully capture another three points in the league standings.
Entering the game, Tigres will be without their veteran goalkeeper, Nahuel Guzman after testing positive for COVID-19 where he will have to sit out for at least 14 days without any activity until fully cleared from the virus. If that is not a major problem as it is, Tigres has a bigger situation as their backup goalkeepers, Miguel Ortega and Arturo Delgadowill also not participate due to contracting the virus and their fourth goalkeeper, starting goalkeeper for the U-20 team of Tigres, Arturo Delgado will be out due to an injury has left coach Ricardo Ferretti to bring in a youngster to start on Sunday afternoon.
At 20 years of age, Gustavo Galindo will make his debut in the Liga MX facing Toluca, where it could possibly lead to bigger things for the young goalkeeper. Although not much is known about Galindo, certainly we will see his highlights, and hopefully, they are outstanding.
Lastly, on Sunday afternoon, coach Ricardo Ferretti will also break another record in the Liga MX as he will reach 1,000 games coaching regular-season games in the Liga MX. With a record of 429 wins, 301 draws, and 269 losses, where most importantly having 341 games without getting scored! Without a doubt Sunday afternoon, Tigres game will be worth the watch.
