Liga MX has welcomed some big names in 2025. Sergio Ramos signed for Monterrey, and James Rodríguez moved to León. Now, current Atletico Madrid and Argentina international Ángel Correa has reportedly agreed to a move to Mexico to join Tigres.
As told by Matteo Moretto, the 30-year-old has a verbal agreement to join Los Universitarios despite having an extra year remaining on his current contract in the Spanish capital.

In his 10 years with Los Rojiblancos, Correa became a La Liga champion in 2021 and helped the Spanish side to a UEFA Europa League trophy in 2018.
The attacking midfielder was part of the Argentina squad that was crowned champions in South America in 2021 before earning a FIFA World Cup winners medal a year later.
As his tenth season with the club comes to an end, Correa has become a rotational player under Diego Simeone, playing only 23% of the total minutes.
Moretto revealed that Correa is set to move to Mexico after ten years in Spain for a fee of €6 million, whilst the contract details are yet to be revealed.
The former San Lorenzo youngster will be watching the current Clausura campaign with an eagle eye as his potential future teammates prepare for a semi-final battle with tournament favourites Toluca, with the chance of reclaiming the league title since winning it in 2023.
