The Mexican National Team will play their second friendly match of the October international break when they go up against Ecuador. It is the second opponent from CONMEBOL for Mexico after playing against Colombia.
Mexico suffered a tough 4-0 loss to Colombia at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, over the weekend. The Mexican National Team received a lot of criticism for the performance, and there is concern ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Mexico's head coach, Javier Aguirre, hinted that he will make a lot of changes in the lineup for the match against Ecuador tonight.

Ecuador also played in the U.S. when they played a friendly match against the USMNT. Ecuador and Team USA drew 1-1 at Q2 Stadium. Enner Valencia scored the opener for the Ecuadorians, but the equalizer arrived through a Folarin Balogun goal.

Mexico vs Ecuador will kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET/ 7:30 p.m. PT in the United States. The match is set to start at 8:30 p.m. local time in Guadalajara, Mexico. Mexico vs Ecuador will be played at the Estadio AKRON.
In the U.S., Mexico vs Ecuador will be shown on Univision Network, TUDN, ViX, Amazon Prime US, Fox Deportes, Univision NOW, Vix Premium Deportes 1, FOX Sports, and on fuboTV.

There are reportedly many changes from the Mexico lineup against Colombia for the match against Ecuador. One of them is reportedly Santi Giménez, who is set to start on the bench vs Ecuador.
