According to Transfermarkt América is near the top of Liga MX and coincidentally has many of the tools to stay there.

After eleven matches played for all but two clubs América sits in second place in the Liga MX 2024 Clausura. The teams near the top continue to overtake each other after every match it seems. Right now Club América is getting the better of it.

América just won their last match. That was the CONCACAF tournament match against Guadalajara. The last match in the Liga MX Clausura was the win over Tigres on Saturday, March 9. They won that game two to nothing.

The two nil win over Tigres UANL came from goals off of Dilrosun and Zendejas. Those goals were spaced out as América did so winning both halves 1-0. There were no red cards but there were two yellow cards on Club América (that did not end up costing goals) in this game.

América started the season with a win over Tijuana; two to nothing was the score of the match. The second game was a 2-0 win over Querétero. The third game played was a 2-0 win over Juárez. The 2023 Apertura Champion Club América was off to a great start.

After their 3-0 start, América was to face Necaxa. That match would end in a nil to nil tie. Monterrey and Club América would tie 1-1 in their next game. Then they would face León; Club América would prevail 1-0 in that contest.

Pachuca would overtake Club América 2-1 in their next contest. The game after that was a 2-2 tie with Mazatlán. Then América would accelerate over Cruz Azul in a 1-0 win. Then América would destroy Atlas 5-1 for their largest victory so far in this season. In the latest match they would handle Tigres two goals to zero.
