As seen in Vavel, Toluca scores four times versus Mazatlán in match two. Other excitement occured in the second Matchday of the 2024 Clausura. Over the eight matches played Friday to Sunday 17 goals were scored. Somehow the black and white crew managed not to give out any red cards through all eight games. There were however three made penalty kicks from other fouls.

Necaxa took out Puebla 2-1. Cavallini scored a PK for Puebla which was countered by Necaxa goals from Méndez and Cambindo.

San Luis overtook Pumas UNAM 3-1. Rivas scored the lone point for Pumas. San Luis had goals by Bonatini, Salles-Lamonge and Galdames.

A stalemate was achieved between Juárez and Cruz Azul. That total was actually nil-nil. Cruz Azul stole 72% of possession but managed not to score.

Toluca dominated against Mazatlán winning 4-1. Mazatlán opened the scoring on a Montaño penalty kick. Toluca netted four goals, with scores from Baeza, Volpe, and two from the feet of Meneses.

Club América took on Querétero winning 2-0. Sánchez and Quiñones scored the only two goals of the match. Both goals were in the final third.

Atlas and Club Tijuana tied their scoreless match. Neither team was able to score in a match that saw sixty-fourty Atlas possession.

Tigres UANL beat Guadalajara 1-0. Córdova scored for Tigres in minute sixty-two. Per TUDN, It happened when the ball was played way ahead of the defender and the forward into no man's land up on the left side. Then, Tigres won the stride to the ball and played it in to the middle. Córdova controlled the ball and launched it at the goal and in.

Monterrey took out Santos Laguna 2-zip Sunday. Meza opened the match up making a magnificent fourth minute point. The score was doubled in the middle of half two by a Cortizo shot.
