Atlas 0 vs 1 Querétaro
Puebla 2 vs 3 Pachuca

Wins against Tigres and now Atlas have completely turned the situation on its head for Los Gallos who failed to win any of their first eight games. Federico Lértora scored the only goal of the game as Querétaro shocked everyone for the second time in the space of a week.

At the Estadio Cuauhtémoc, Puebla and Pachuca played out a 5-goal thriller, with the visitors managing to take the points back to Hidalgo. The match started with Salómon Róndon scoring his first goal of the season with a glancing header before Emiliano Gomez finished a smart move from the hosts to level the game. Nelson Deossa was left in plenty of space and gave Los Tuzos the lead once more but Puebla would respond for a second time through Gomez. Tied at 2-2, Deossa would seal the points for the visitors with a drilled effort from outside of the box.

León 1 vs 0 San Luís
Monterrey 0 vs 0 Mazatlán
Necaxa 1 vs 1 Club América
Cruz Azul 1 vs 0 Chivas

Jhonder Cadiz scored the only goal of the game as León recorded a first league win of the season whilst adding a fifth league goal in eight games to his tally. The result comes as a surprise given San Luís' 3-1 win over league leaders Cruz Azul during the week whilst León failed to win a single game prior to the meeting at the Estadio León.

Monterrey and Mazatlán played out a goalless draw but the main talking point of the game was Sebastian Vegas' sending off in the sixth minute of the game. Whilst Los Rayados managed to survive with a point, it is their second dismissal in as many games after German Berterame was handed a straight red card during the midweek win over Juárez.

Club América managed to steal a point at the death during the visit to Estadio Victoria as Henry Martín netted a last-gasped equaliser for Las Águilas. Earlier in the game, Augustin Palavecino scored his third goal of the campaign as Necaxa momentarily leapfrogged América in the league.

The final match of the weekend was the eye-catching fixture between league leaders Cruz Azul and 12-time Liga MX champions Chivas. Decided on the hour mark, Ignacio Rivero hammered home the only goal of the game as Azul managed to bounce back from a poor result against San Luís. The result piles on pressure to Chivas manager Fernando Gago who saw his side lose both of their visits to the capital within the space of a week. Los Azules return to a two-point lead at the top of the table.

Pumas 1 vs 0 Tijuana
Santos Laguna 2 vs 0 Toluca
FC Juárez 0 vs 1 Tigres

Pumas managed to build on a 1-0 victory against Puebla midweek by keeping a second clean sheet during the encounter with Tijuana. Both sides came into the fixture on the fringes of the playoff places so it will crush Los Xolos' fans knowing that the winning goal came in the dying embers of the match as Ignacio Pussetto was found in acres of space at the back-post to header home the crucial goal for the home side.

As León surprised many with their win over San Luís, Santos Laguna managed to top that by taking all three points from the matchup against Toluca. The league's top goalscorers prior to this meeting, Toluca were the only team unbeaten in the league. As for Santos, they had leaked 14 goals from the opening eight games. However, goals from Fran Villaba and Emmanuel Echeverría decided this fixture as the home side moved up into 14th place whilst Los Diablos Rojos fell to fourth.

The final game of the weekend was in the city of Juárez as they welcomed a high-flying Tigres side aiming to respond to a midweek loss to Querétaro. In a game short of chances, the winning goal came with five minutes left on the clock as Francisco Cordóva netted a late winner for the Monterrey-based side.
