Hirving Lozano has been playing with Team Mexico El Tri, while also playing with PSV Einhoven as his club team per SSC Napoli.

Whereas now it is time for international play, just how is he doing with his teams? The Netherlands and Mexico are far apart (5,723 miles from Mexico City to Amsterdam). Is the distance impacting performance? He is on one of the big three teams in the Eredivisie (PSV along with Feyenoord and Ajax). His team PSV even finished first with points in the league in 2024.

In the summer PSV will play three friendly match games in July. They will face Club Brugge, FC Eindhoven (their second-tier hometown counterpart) and Valencia.

The Mexican national team just went 1-2 in recent friendlies. The latest was the late loss to Brazil. Copa America is coming up; it will present El Tri with at least three group play games. Following their tournament exit (or win) Mexico will face New Zealand and Canada in late summer friendlies

The former Pachuca winger Chucky Lozano has been away from that Mexican club since 2017. During his time away he excelled. At PSV he scored seventeen goals in each of his first two seasons. Then in 2020-21 he scored eleven times for Napoli in Serie A.

He is now back with PSV after the loan to Napoli. In 2023-24 he has struggled a bit to find the net. It would be nice to see that not continue. For El Tri, he has scored seven times in games that count. In his latest game for Team Mexico, Chucky had two shots in the 0-2 loss to Team USA.
