Mexico will face Uruguay and Paraguay in their final matches of 2025 as they gear up for next summer's FIFA World Cup.
Last month, Javier Aguirre named a squad full of experience but was unable to avoid a heavy defeat to Colombia before settling for a draw with Ecuador.
This time around, the 66-year-old has named a squad with a number of changes, bringing in a host of exciting young players who were unavailable during the October window.
As Mexico took to the field last month, the U-21 team represented the nation at the FIFA World Cup in Chile, where they managed to reach the quarter-finals.
Their efforts at the competition have seen some well-deserved call-ups to the first team with the midfield duo of Obed Vargas and 17-year-old Gilberto Mora returning to the squad, joined by Monterrey's Fidel Ambriz.
The big surprise is the omission of national team regular Carlos Rodríguez from the squad, alongside Cruz Azul’s Jorge Sánchez. Both players have come under heavy criticism for their recent performances on the international stage.
A major boost for El Tri comes with the return of captain Edson Álvarez and prolific forward Raúl Jiménez, with the latter scoring three goals in his last four international outings.
Joining the Fulham striker in the November team features Pumas winger Jorge Ruvalcaba, who has seven goal contributions so far in the Apertura campaign.
There are some notable absences, with Toluca forward Alexis Vega sidelined by a hamstring injury for the final squad of the year, while Julián Quiñones misses out after failing to impress in October.
