International matches are on the schedule in the coming months for Liga MX clubs.

According to One Football friendlies and cups have taken place so far already since early this year. FC Nordsjælland took out Club Tijuana 5-0 in their last international match; that game was back in January. Their schedule ahead includes Liga MX Apertura 2024 play and some Leagues Cup matches. In the cup Tijuana is set to face LAFC and Vancouver starting in late July.

The rest of Liga MX will be in action against MLS clubs too. The Leagues Cup includes all Liga MX teams. In the competition there are also all the MLS clubs. None have been eliminated yet.

Premier matchups are set to occur. They include Philadelphia Union versus Cruz Azul, Toluca versus Chicago and KC, Monterrey versus Austin FC and Tigres UANL taking on Inter Miami. Inter Miami is an especially big get in that it includes the touted Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi is a world leader on scoring ability. He is a great offensive soccer player. He made it to the MLS in Miami in a surprise move for his most recent contract. His club Inter Miami will face at least two Mexican clubs in the tournament. To open they take on Puebla in addition to Tigres UANL.

What is the Leagues Cup? It is another yearly cup that crowns a champion in American soccer. The tournament includes all of Liga MX as well as all of the MLS.

Current champions of the Leagues Cup are Inter Miami CF. Any one of the seventy seven clubs included could technically become the next Leagues Cup Champion. Next to Inter Miami there are a few expected favorites. Those teams include but are not limited to Club América, Monterrey and the Columbus Crew. Who will win it this year?
