Mexican national team winger Hirving Lozano is reportedly the target of several big clubs in the Champions League, including one he will face in the group stage

According to CalcioMercato.com, Hirving Lozano is being circled by several big name European clubs as a possible transfer target in the January transfer window. The list according to the Italian news organization includes notable names such as Juventus, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Inter Milan.

Any of those names would be enough to turn a young player’s head as their prestige and financial power far outstrips anything PSV Eindhoven has to offer but it will not be cheap to pry him away from the Dutch club. Lozano has been a revelation in the Netherlands and has scored 26 goals in 44 appearances so far for the club, a fantastic return for a player that does most of his work on the wings.

This incredible return from Lozano has upped his price almost 10 times as PSV reportedly want €60 million for the winger which would be very tidy business for a player purchased for just €10 million in 2017 from Pachuca. Lozano’s performance in the World Cup certainly helped his value as well as he scored the winner against Germany and assisted Javier Hernandez for the eventual winner against South Korea.

PSV and Lozano are in an incredibly difficult group in the Champions League as they had the misfortune of ending up with Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur. They got a taste of what European giants have to offer in a 4-0 loss to Barcelona but Lozano had a decent game under difficult circumstances and continues to show he belongs on the same pitch as the big boys.

PSV would be smart to cash in on Lozano’s high stock in the January transfer window as it will be difficult for it to go any higher given his performances over the past year. Manchester United in particular know what a Mexican superstar is capable of and they may be in the market for some attacking talent given the current unrest surrounding some of their stars. They also have the cash to burn so we could very well see Lozano in United red come January and for years to come.
