It’s now or never for Chivas when they face Morelia in the week 14 of the Apertura 2018, to keep their hopes up to enter La Liguilla.
Chivas has not captured a win in their last four games and will need to make an impact at home this Saturday night at 8 pm when they welcome Morelia at El Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Morelia: W vs Puebla 2-0
In a rainy night at the Estadio Morelos, Morelia secured three points with goals from S. Vegas and M. Sansores, in a span of five minutes in the second half of the match. The goals gave a Morelia their second consecutive win placing them in the 9th position, tied with both Tigres and Queretaro, in the Liga MX table. Monarcas Morelia has not had an illustrious Apertura 2018, but the remaining games on their schedule could offer them a big ticket to La Liguilla.
Prediction:
Both teams have not been bad throughout the Apertura, but they have been inconsistent. Both need a crucial win to keep their chances to enter in the Liguilla within reason. Chivas has a young talented squad, who have progressed rapidly in Cardozo playing style. Monarcas have flipped the switch, recently, and realized that another win could easily place them in comfortable standing for the playoffs. Both need a win, but the momentum both teams are approaching Saturday match could easily give them a 2-2 draw.
