LIGA MX: Chivas visits Puebla in desperate need of a win
Puebla will welcome a desperate Chivas at home, in a match that could define the Liga MX Liguilla hopes for both teams.
Week 15 of the Liga MX season is already here and with three more games left in the Apertura 2018, many teams are fearful on what their outcome can be if they do not win in their next few games left.
Puebla has only obtained one win in the last five matches in the Liga Mx. They have been that team that you certainly do not want to place a bet on, because you just don’t know how they could respond against any team in the Liga MX. Sitting at the 11th position with 18 points, Puebla is desperately in need of a win Friday night at home.

We could say the same about Chivas due to their inconsistency throughout the Apertura 2018. Chivas, as well as Puebla, must win this Friday night if they want to keep their “hopes” up to enter the Liguilla. El Rebano Sagrado is right below Puebla in the 12th position with 16 points, a win for them could power them up above Puebla. With three games left in the Apertura 2018, both teams are on the border of staying out the Liguilla. Friday night could determine the ultimate outcome for both teams.
Last Match
Puebla : 4-0 W at Leon
This was probably one of the best surprises of last week’s games. A 4-0 win was one that Puebla needed to boost their confidence for the remaining games left of the Apertura. It was their only win in the month of October and with the performances of Christian Tabo (two goals), Felix Micolta (one goal) and Francisco Acuna (one goal) were able to beat Leon soundly. Puebla will hope for more of the same moving ahead.
Chivas :1-2 L vs Morelia
With a poor entrance in the Estadio Akron, Chivas could not secure a win at home in front of their fans versus Morelia. Chivas looked superb the first half of the match, with Angel Zaldivar opening the match with the first goal. Chivas slowly faded halfway through the match, however, with Morelia dominating the midfield. Chivas clearly took a step back throughout the game which caused two goals to be scored by Morelia in the second half. The last win for Chivas was towards the end of September, yes September, and yet Chivas has not found their way back to grab consecutive wins.
Predicition
Puebla 3-1 Chivas
Tough pill to swallow for many Chivas fans, but I could not see Chivas winning away at Puebla. At home, Puebla is a different team. They have only lost two games at home in the Apertura 2018 and Friday night should favor them, especially after last week’s performance against Leon.
