Mexican football is on the rise, thriving with energy and ambition as fans from far and wide tacking notice.
The arrival of legends such as Sergio Ramos, Keylor Navas, and James Rodríguez has drawn a new wave of global viewers, while rising Mexican talents like Gilberto Mora, Elías Montiel, and Marcel Ruiz have kept local fans watching with excitement.
Over the last few days, the X (Twitter) page Hora de Fútbol, which focuses on statistics surrounding Mexican football, has released the average attendances from all Liga MX teams. These numbers highlight the overall average since the Liga MX Apertura started last month.
Here are the teams with the top 5 biggest attendances so far in the 2025 Liga MX Apertura:
5. Toluca, 27,273

The reigning Liga MX champions open up the top five, having sold out the Estadio Nemesio Diez in each of their Apertura home matches. Given that their stadium holds less than half the capacity of others on this list, Toluca would undoubtedly rank higher if they had a larger ground.
4. Pumas, 29,192

Mexico City’s best-attended team this season, Pumas rise a few places as both Cruz Azul and Club América are playing away from their usual homes while their stadiums undergo renovation.
3. Chivas, 36,004

A true testament to the support from Chivas fans, witnessing a turbulent start to the season as the club aims to bounce back after failing to reach the Clausura playoff's. Although, recent performances have led to an attendance decline given the stadium's maximum capacity of 49,813.
2. Tigres, 41,084

Tigres are one of the most entertaining teams in the Liga MX, becoming one of two teams to rally more than forty thousand fans to their stadium. The team has paid back the support of its fans across the opening two games at the Estadio Universitario, winning both whilst beating Puebla 7-0.
1. Monterrey, 46,527

Completing this list as the best-attended team in the league are Monterrey. Los Rayados have gone all out in recent transfer windows and it's shown with the fans coming out in their numbers to get the chance to see the likes of Sergio Ramos, Sergio Canales and Lucas Ocampos play in the same team.
Interest in the team also built after their recent involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup, which saw them reach the knockout rounds, showing that they have the quality to go head-to-head with some of the best in the world.
