At only 20 years old, Mateo Chávez represents Mexico’s newest wave of talent entering Europe. Since joining AZ Alkmaar this summer, he has scored in pre-season, assisted in the Eredivisie debut, and made his first start of the season in the club's UEFA Conference League qualifier.

Rodrigo Huescas, a 21-year-old versatile defender from Mexico, joined FC Copenhagen in July 2024 on a five-year contract from Cruz Azul. Since then, he has made 22 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the Danish Superliga and UEFA Conference League.
In the 2025/26 season, Huescas has featured in four matches, contributing one assist. His performances have earned him a spot in the Danish Superliga Team of the Month in July 2024, highlighting his growing influence in European football.

At 25, Johan Vásquez has cemented his place as a starting defender in Serie A. In the 2024/25 season, he appeared in 22 matches, posting solid numbers: 1.5 interceptions, three clearances, and an 80% duel success rate per game.

César “Chino” Huerta completed his long-awaited move to Europe in 2025, joining Belgian giants Anderlecht. Despite being new to the league, he has quickly adapted, registering 3 goals and 2 assists in his first 10 league matches.
Huerta’s speed, flair, and direct attacking style make him one of the most exciting Mexican wingers abroad. Anderlecht are competing at the top of the Jupiler Pro League and remain active in the Belgian Cup. One of the biggest moves of winter 2025 was Santiago Giménez’s transfer to AC Milan for €32 million after an outstanding spell at Feyenoord, where he scored 65 goals in 105 matches.
The 24-year-old striker has already begun to show his scoring instinct in Italy, netting two goals in his first five Serie A appearances. Milan, competing in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Europa League, sees Giménez as the long-term solution to their striker role. For Mexico, he is expected to be a key feature for years to come.

The 27-year-old “Machín” has become West Ham’s midfield anchor. In the 2024/25 season, he has played more than 25 matches across the Premier League and Europa League, averaging 2.3 interceptions and 1.9 tackles per game.
Álvarez is key in balancing the Hammers’ midfield, breaking up attacks and distributing the ball with efficiency, despite of that, rumours of Álvarez leaving the club are really strong. Mexico's captain is moving closer to signing for either his former club Ajax or Fenerbahce, two sides who will be competing in a major European tournament this season.
