In the second leg, Toluca defeated Monterrey 3-2 at the Nemesio Diez in Toluca, Mexico. The aggregate score finished 3-3, but Toluca advanced since they finished 1st in the regular season.
Toluca and Tigres played each other in the regular season at the Nemesio Diez, where Tigres won 4-3.
