Matchday 6 of the Liga MX Apertura brought a rare glimmer of joy for Querétaro, who have endured a difficult start to the season, whilst a showdown in the capital saw Toluca face Cruz Azul.
Big-name debuts were in-store this weekend, with Aaron Ramsey expected to make his Pumas debut as Allan Saint-Maximim headed to Guadalajara to represent Club América for the first time with their visit to Atlas.

Juárez 2-1 Santos Laguna
The opening game of the weekend came on the border as Juárez came from behind to secure a last-gasp result against Santos Laguna. Cristian Dajome made it two goals from two games by giving the visitors an early lead, but an 89th minute equaliser from Angel Zaldivar and a shock winner two minutes later from Denzell Garcia completed the most dramatic of comebacks.
Querétaro 3-2 San Luis
Los Gallos took inspiration from Juárez's late winner by leaving it until the 98th minute to seal maximum points against San Luis.
This game was a rollercoaster for fans. Both sides took the lead as João Pedro brought the guests back into the game after initially leading, scoring his sixth in as many games by converting from the spot. However, Querétaro were awarded a penalty deep into added time, dispatched by Santiago Homenchenko, to give the side its first win of the season.
Tijuana 3-3 Chivas
Chivas have been under fire for a poor start to the season, and it seemed to get even worse when they were three goals down in Tijuana. As for Los Xolos, it was a dream start to the game, with Gilberto Mora grabbing a brace.
Despite all the odds being against them, Los Rojiblancos left it late to strike back, Former Xolo, Efrain Alvárez, scored a stunning free kick to bring the game back to life but the equalising goal came six minutes into added time with Roberto Alvarado curling an effort towards the top corner, completing an unbelieavble day of results for Liga MX fans.

León 1-1 Pachuca
In the Grupo Pachuca derby, both sides were left wanting more as the only goals of the game came from the spot. Oussama Idrissi fired first to give Pachuca the lead before Ismael Díaz made it two goals in two games late in the first half, for the sides to share the points.
Mazatlán 2-2 Tigres
Mazatlán recorded a remarkable result against a high-flying Tigres, considering that the hosts played almost the entire match with ten men. Bryan Colula was handed a straight red card within 180 seconds for a terrible tackle, but they managed to take the lead twice before a 100th minute equaliser from Nicolás Ibanez saved Tigres' blushes.
Monterrey 3-0 Necaxa
Monterrey secured a comfortable home win as Lucas Ocampos added to his brace from last week's win against Mazatlán before Sergio Canales scored directly from a corner. Capped off by Sergio Ramos' penalty on the hour mark, the result takes Los Rayados top of the Liga MX table.
Cruz Azul 1-0 Toluca
Cruz Azul rose to third this weekend with a surprise win against Antonio Mohamed's Toluca. Los Rojos Diablos were hoping to respond after their penalty shootout defeat to Orlando City in the Leagues Cup. Still, they were unable to keep Luka Romero's looping header from hitting the back of the net as the 20-year-old scored the only goal of the game.

Pumas 0-0 Puebla
Pumas and Puebla fought for a goalless draw, but all eyes were on Welsh international Aaron Ramsey, who came off the bench in the 62nd minute to make his Liga MX debut. The hosts had the better of the chance and had a goal ruled out when Álvaro Angulo had the ball in the back of the net, but was left frustrated seeing the offside flag raised.
Atlas 2-4 Club América
Atlas scored two goals in added time to secure a draw against Querétaro last weekend, but now it was their turn to suffer in the dying moments. Diego Cocca's side were 2-1 to the good when Gustavo del Prete and Diego Alcaraz scored either side of half-time but América fought back when Álvaro Fidalgo brought the sides back on level terms.
With the game looking destined for a draw, Allan Saint-Maximim back the second former Premier League star to make his Liga MX debut this weekend and was on hand to score a crucial goal, in the box with a deft touch to settle the tie. Six minutes later, three points were secured as Victor Dávila doubled Las Águilas' lead with a penalty to keep André Jardine's side in second place.
