After nearly two months since the announcement of joining Pumas UNAM, Aaron Ramsey is et to play his first game with the Mexican club in Liga MX. The Welsh midfielder is seen as one of the biggest signings in Liga MX this summer but he has yet to play on the pitch.
Pumas will play Club Puebla at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, and it could be the game where Ramsey makes his debut in the Mexican league. Ramsey has been given the number 10, and the club teased his debut with an image of his jersey.

Pumas and Puebla in Liga MX So Far
Pumas are currently 13th in the table with five points after five games played. Their record is one win, two draws, and two defeats. Pumas are undefeated in their last two league matches as they drew 1-1 against Necaxa and Toluca FC.
Pumas has not won a home game this Apertura 2025, and the last time they won at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario was in April in a 2-0 win over Santos Laguna.
Puebla are bottom of the table in 18th place with three points after five games. Their record is one win and four defeats. Despite the impressive 2025 Leagues Cup, Puebla have been unable to replicate that form in the league.
Their last game was a 0-0 draw against Seattle Sounders in the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup, but they were eliminated as they lost 4-3 on penalties.
Puebla will play their first game under new manager Hernan Cristante, who joined the club two days ago.
