Mexico’s 2026 World Cup path is official: FIFA drops full match schedule

Mexico will be playing their three group stage matches in Mexico for the 2026 World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup Draw revealed the group for Mexico. Mexico is in Group A with South Africa, South Korea, and the winner of a UEFA playoff path, which includes Denmark, North Macedonia, Czechia, and Ireland.

Mexico's first game in the World Cup, which is also the 2026 World Cup opener, will be against South Africa at the Estadio Azteca (Banorte Stadium) on June 11, 2026.

Mexico will then play against South Korea on June 18, 2026, at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara.

Mexico's final group stage match will be against Denmark, North Macedonia, Czechia, or Ireland at the Estadio Azteca (Banorte Stadium) on June 24, 2026.

FIFA revealed the full match scheulde for Mexico and other teams today, which includes the official times for each match.

The Match Schedule for Mexico: FIFA World Cup 2026

For the opening match against South Africa, Mexico will play the African team at 3 p.m. ET/ 12 p.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 2 p.m. local time in Mexico City, Mexico.

The second match against Korea Republic at Guadalajara at the Estadio AKRON will kick off at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT in the United States. The match would kick off at 8 p.m. local time in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

The third match against a European nation will be played at the Banorte Stadium and the kick off is set at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT in the United States. Local time in Mexico City for this match will be at 8 p.m.

The third group stage match will be at the same time as the other Group A match between South Africa and South Korea, where the game is set to be played at the Estadio BBVA in Monterrey.
