Tigres announced the departure of Sebastián Córdova, who left the club as a free agent. Multiple reports in Mexico suggest that Córdova is attracting interest from other clubs in the country.
Despite the interest of many Mexican clubs, Toluca is the favorite to sign the Mexican attacking midfielder.
César Luis Merlo reports that Toluca is in advanced negotiations to sign Sebastián Córdova ahead of the 2026 Clausura.

According to the report, there have been multiple conversations between Córdova's representatives and Toluca in the last 48 hours. Córdova is set to potentially sign a long-term contract with Toluca.
Córdova was reportedly a target for Monterrey, Pumas, and other clubs in Mexico.
Sebastián Córdova's Time at Tigres
Sebastián Córdova joined Tigres in December 2021 and has played 159 matches, scoring 24 goals and providing 18 assists.
Córdova won two trophies with Tigres since joining four years ago. Córdova was key in Tigres' league title in the Clausura 2023. The Mexican attacking midfielder scored five goals in the Clasura 2023 Liguilla, leading to Tigres' eighth league title in its history.
Córdova then won the 2023 Campeón de Campeones after Tigres defeated Pachuca 2-1.
Córdova played 14 games for Tigres in the second half of 2025, with six games in the Apertura 2025, two games in the 2025 Leagues Cup, and six games in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
His last game for Tigres was against Pumas on September 20, 2025, in the 9th match week of the 2025 Apertura.
