News has broken in the last hour that Club América are close to signing French winger Allan Saint-Maximin from Saudi club Al-Ahli.
Saint-Maximin, 28, is an explosive, talented dribbler who is most remembered for his four years with Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
Leaving the north of England, the former Saint-Étienne academy graduate moved to Saudi Arabia to join the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Franck Kessie at Al-Ahli in 2023.
After one season with The Royals, Saint-Maximin joined Turkish giants Fenerbache on a year-long loan, where he scored four goals in 20 appearances.
Upon his return to Saudi Arabia this summer, Al-Ahli confirmed that Saint-Maximin was surplus to requirements and was available to explore options away from the club.
In an announcement which dropped like a bombshell, ESPN reporter León Lecanda confirmed that Club América are in 'very advanced' talks to sign the former France Under-21 international for a deal worth $10 million.

Viva Liga MX confirmed this week that Las Águilas were still in pursuit of LAFC attacker Denis Bouanga, but negotiations had stalled after failing to agree on personal terms with the Gabonese player.
If Club América can get this deal over the line, it's without question that it will be one of the most impressive deals of the summer, with Saint-Maximin's trickery and pace destined to bolster the club's attack as they look to return to the top of Mexican football.
