Denis Bouanga is in high demand, as two Liga MX sides have reached out to LAFC in regards to his services.

Club América had been the frontrunners to sign the Gabonese striker all summer, but negotiations hit a crossroads when Bouanga demanded a salary of up to $7 million, which would make him the biggest earner in the league.

Back in 2024, the 30-year-old caught the eye of Tigres, who have reignited their interest in the forward, having already made one marquee signing this summer with the arrival of Angel Correa from Atlético Madrid.

TUDN's Gibrán Araige claimed that a move for the forward is currently on pause, as Club América, who remain the most likely destination for Bouanga, work on a new offer.

Bouanga has been a lethal finisher for the MLS club who signed him from French outfit Saint-Étienne in 2022. In his three full seasons with the Californian side, Bouanga has scored 54 goals in 91 games, even scoring the crucial goal to send the club to this summer's FIFA Club World Cup, at the expense of Club América.

Despite his goalscoring record with the club, he could soon become surplus to requirements as LAFC aims to pull off a shock deal for Tottenham and South Korean star Heung-Min Son.

So will Denis Bouanga be an Águila or Tigre by the end of the summer? Let us know your thoughts!
