As the summer steps in, domestic football takes a rare break as a few lucky players get to make the most of some well-deserved rest.
Those not so lucky turn their attention to national duty, with the Concacaf Gold Cup set to get underway later this month, whilst Monterrey and Pachuca head to the United States for the inaugural expansion of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Behind the scenes of all the chaos is the transfer window, a time when all bets go out the window and the unbelievable becomes a reality. Moves that never made sense before suddenly appear before our eyes.
So... let's take a look at some of the wildest rumours, and some others that might just take shape.
3. Agustín Palavecino - Pachuca

At the heart of Necaxa's Clausura success, Palavecino joined the club from River Plate last summer. Initially on loan, his move was made permanent before agreeing to represent Pachuca at the upcoming Club World Cup.
The agreement means that the Argentine playmaker will return to Necaxa at the end of the tournament, but will join Toluca's Federico Pereira in Hidalgo as they face RB Salzburg, Al Hilal and Real Madrid in the group stages of the competition.
2. Luka Jovic - Cruz Azul

Joining a collection of former Real Madrid stars now in Mexico, although somewhat less successful than James Rodríguez and Sergio Ramos, Jovic rumours to La Máquina are starting to ramp up.
The reigning Concacaf Champions Cup winners are looking to bolster their attack and have set their eyes on a $10 million deal for the Serbian forward who is currently contracted with AC Milan.
1. Aaron Ramsey - Pumas

The biggest shock of the month comes from Los Universitarios, who are eying up a move for Cardiff City midfielder, Aaron Ramsey. Ramsey has an impressive resume as a three-time English FA Cup winner, Serie A champion, and a twice UEFA Europa League runner-up.
The Welsh international has spent the last two seasons with his boyhood club, Cardiff City, in the English Championship. Following the sacking of manager Omar Riza, Ramsey stepped off the pitch and onto the sidelines, managing a Cardiff side that finished rock bottom of the table, falling to the English third tier.
Reports suggest that the work to make this deal happen is underway, but there is currently no agreement between the two parties.
