FC Copenhagen played Qarabağ FK earlier today in the Champions League. Rodrigo Huescas started for the Danish side once again, but his time on the pitch was short.
The Mexican right-back suffered an injury in the 13th minute as he lost the ball to Qarabag left back Marcos Lopez. Huescas immediately went down in pain and was stretchered off the pitch. Reports suggested that Huescas suffered a knee injury.

Many Mexican National Team fans fear that Huescas has suffered an ACL injury, which keeps players out for many months and sometimes more than a year.
The 2026 World Cup is less than nine months away, and Copenhagen's manager, Jacob Neestrup, had some worrying comments after his team lost 2-0 to the team from Azerbaijan.
Jacob Neestrup Confirms Long-Term Injury for Rodrigo Huescas
After the match, Neestrup was asked for an update on Huescas' injury. The Danish manager seemed concerned about Huescas and confirmed that his injury may keep him injured for a long time.
"It's probably a long-term injury and I feel very sorry for him if it's what we fear. I spoke with him but he doesn't have much to say, which is understandable."Jacob Neestrup
The club is expected to make an official statement on the injury, and it is expected to reveal the approximate timeframe of Huescas' injury.
Many Mexican fans hope that Huescas' injury is not serious since many view him as the ideal right-back for the Mexican National Team at the 2026 World Cup. Huescas impressed fans over the weekend after providing an assist in Copenhagen's 2-1 win over Sønderjyske in the Superligaen.
